袁纬承是美国新墨西哥州洛斯阿拉莫斯国家实验室科学家（Vincent “Vinny” Yuan, a Los Alamos National Laboratory scientist.）。
2007年6月，袁纬承出席吴健雄诞辰95周年纪念活动暨健雄职业技术学院新校区落成典礼，他为新校区落成题词：
I am gratetul that with the support of the government-The spirit of chien-Shiung Wu has inspired creation of such an impressive institute to benefit the students of Chien-Shiung Wu’s birth region.
The challenge to administrators,faculty,and students is to continue carrying this spirit into the future.
